The Avoca Beach Golden Oldies Fishing Club had its inaugural outside fishing day on 25th of June after its first scheduled charter day was postponed due to a 23 ft swell. A full boat saw records set in both the Senior Competition and the Junior Competition.
The day saw catches of Kingfish, Morwong, Snapper, Tarwhine, Trevally, Leatherjackets, Cuttlefish, with some nuisance varieties of Pike, Sgt Baker, Wrasse and the ever popular Port Jackson Shark.

The charter boat was courtesy of Leigh from Central Coast Blue Water Charters based in Terrigal who proved a great asset to all on board the whole day.
Records on the day were set by Goffo, Ryan Murphy, Robbie 'long neck', and Mick McGee.
